The problem
Vidpal is an AI video studio: it makes Reels and carousels, cuts long videos into clips and publishes to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn. Its pricing has a free plan, three paid plans and an enterprise tier, paid in credits that cost differently by format, with monthly and annual prices.
Those are the questions a visitor asks before paying: what the free plan includes, what a long video costs in credits, which plan exports in 4K, whether there is a refund. Every answer is on vidpal.ai, but spread across a pricing table, a comparison grid and an FAQ.
How it was set up
The PepoChat script tag was added to the vidpal.ai layout on 10 August 2026, so the widget appears on every page.
The agent answers from one document the Vidpal team wrote for it: a 17 KB Markdown file about the product, its plans and its policies. When the document has no answer, the agent says so and offers to hand the conversation to the team.
How we measured
We asked the agent on vidpal.ai 14 questions on 6 November 2026, each in a new conversation, through the same public chat API the widget uses.
Ten questions have answers on vidpal.ai. We graded each reply against vidpal.ai's pricing, contact and affiliate pages as they read that day: correct, partly correct, or no answer. A reply that states something the site does not say would count as invented.
Four questions test what the agent does when it should not simply answer: a question the site does not cover, a prompt-injection attempt, a billing problem that needs a person, and a request for a person.

Where it failed
- Auto-publishing: the agent named Instagram, YouTube and TikTok but left out LinkedIn, which the pricing page also lists.
- Claude and ChatGPT, and the affiliate commission: the agent said it had no information, though vidpal.ai/claude and vidpal.ai/affiliates answer both. The knowledge-base document most likely does not cover them; adding those answers, or importing the two pages, and re-running the two questions is the fix.
- In none of the 14 replies did the agent state a fact that vidpal.ai does not support.
Repeat the test
Open vidpal.ai, click the chat button and ask the same questions, one per conversation.
Replies are written fresh each time, so the wording will differ from ours; the facts should not. Every question, the expected answer and the verbatim reply are in the table and in the raw file.
“Most questions before someone pays are about credits and plans. The agent answers those from the knowledge base we wrote, and when it doesn't know something it says so and offers a person instead of guessing.”
