Create a free PepoChat account
Add your website address or upload your docs. A whole-site crawl counts as one source, and the agent answers only from what you gave it.

Install and activate the plugin
Download the zip, then in your WordPress admin go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Activate it and you land on the settings page.

Copy your Organization ID
In the PepoChat dashboard open Widget Setup and copy the Organization ID. Pasting the whole install snippet works too.

Paste it under Settings → PepoChat
Choose the corner, keep preload on for instant opening, and optionally hide the widget for logged-in users or on specific paths.

Save and visit your site
The launcher appears on every page. Colors, greeting and suggested questions are managed in Widget Customization, so a change there is live everywhere at once.

- Does the plugin work with my theme or page builder?
- Yes. The widget is added with one script tag in the footer, so it works with block themes, classic themes, Elementor, Divi, Bricks, WPBakery and any other builder. No template edits.
- Where do I find my Organization ID?
- In the PepoChat dashboard under Widget Setup. It is a 32-character code. You can also paste the whole install snippet into the plugin and the ID is picked out for you.
- Does it work with WooCommerce?
- Yes. The plugin puts the widget on your store. Then connect the WooCommerce integration in the PepoChat dashboard with a read-only REST API key, and the agent looks up orders by number or by the customer’s verified email.
- Will it slow my site down?
- No. The script is loaded asynchronously after your page, and the chat itself is fetched during idle time or when a visitor clicks. Nothing blocks rendering, and you can turn preload off in the plugin settings.
- Is it free?
- The plugin is free and open source (GPL). PepoChat’s Free plan includes every feature with 200 AI replies a month; paid plans raise the allowance.
- Is it on WordPress.org?
- The listing is in review. Until it is approved, install the plugin from the zip on this page: Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Updates will arrive through WordPress once the listing is live.
